The beginning of a revolution.
In 2003, what seemed so obvious to Felipe was obviously unavailable. He wanted a unique professional networking site that enabled him to learn about new career opportunities from people he knew and trusted. He met up with his friend Rajen to come up with a plan for this yet unnamed idea. They assumed the bigger, more established web sites would meet that market need soon so they decided to put that idea on hold. Two years later, there wasn't a great solution on the market yet and Cachinko was born. Fast forward to today and social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace are still too informal with too much information for career and job-related tasks. Professional business networking sites are better for networking and cold calling "random connections" than for finding or sharing candidates and jobs through actual relationships. As for the job boards like Monster and CareerBuilder. Do we really need to say anything?
