Minimum of 2 to 3 year of broad purchasing and materials management experience.
Experience in metal mechanical operation (prefered)
Knowledge of steel, castings, sheet metal fabrication a plus.
Needs manufacturing control system esperience (Manufacturing resource planning).
Strong computer skills and working knowledge of MS-Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Experience in international purchasing and import (especially US border / Mexico ports)
Strong sense of urgency. Not compromising cost, quiality, or delivery. Understands how all three aspects must harmonize in order to sustain profitability.
Needs to be customer focused and have the ability to coach other in the importance of responsiveness to customer requirements.
Understand the needs for continuous improvement and collects input from all associates in looking for cost reduction opportunities.
