Our client is looking for a Supply Chain Manager for their plant located in Tijuana, this position will develop the following activities:
To ensure an optimum balance between service, cost, quality and risk (within legal framework and customer / business / operations requirements) of purchased materials, services and delivered products at the Base Plant in North America and satellite plants in line with the intern Strategy and based on the Agreements with Business Units (e.g. Service Level Agreements).
Major Responsibilities & Duties:
Customer satisfaction Result areas: (Vendor rating, customer order fulfillment (time, quality and quantity, customer surveys): Responsible for ensuring that the supply chain (inclusive of Purchasing, Warehousing, Receiving, sales order processing and Shipping) meets or exceeds customer expectations as per specific agreements (e.g. SLA) with the BU’s, Procurement Plan and Purchasing Strategy.
Innovation Result area ( introduction new products/processes on time, projects): Responsible for developing and executing innovative solutions to Purchasing problems (in line with Purchasing Strategy and Procurement Plan) and support engineering with the introduction of the correct materials, on time, for new processes and/or products.
People & organization development Result area: (staff turnover, 360 degree, HSE): Responsible for the management of the assigned resources, ensuring their personal development.
Financial performance Result area ( Working capital, relative material cost, operating budget). Responsible for optimization of the Supply Chain in accordance with the principle of Lowest Total Cost.
Requirements:
Education/Certification/Designations
Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Admin, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. APICS/ISM, or comparable certification preferred.
Work Experience
5+ years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management in a disciplined
manufacturing environment(s) with a minimum of 2 years management experience in supply chain.
Lean manufacturing/business experience necessary.
Plastics industry experience helpful.

Skills
Supply chain management skills (warehousing, logistic, order processing, planning).
Project management skills.
Negotiating and procurement skills - capable of negotiating at multiple levels.
Experienced with Lean/Sigma or similar.
Experienced with relevant Quality Systems (e.g. ISO).
Fluent knowledge of Spanish and English
Computer literacy - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to intermediate level, ERP system
proficiency - preferably in Baan.
Requirement for travel
Up to 25% of time
Includes intercontinental travels (more than 4x/year).
