JOB DESCRIPTION:
Join a successful team of Software Testing Professionals, and participate in software testing projects for the retail industry. According to skills and professional development interests of the candidate, positions are open for manual, automated and performance testing projects. Job allows interacting with teams geographically distributed across the Americas, Asia and Europe, during the software development life cycle of applications. Job openings are available for Junior, Intermediate/Proficient and Senior software test engineers. Access to Softtek University career development path in Quality Assurance and Testing is available for all levels of seniority and skill sets, in order to guarantee a continuous professional growth for our associates, not only by exposure to projects, but by focused training initiatives.
MAIN ACTIVITIES:
• Participate in Test Plan development and review activities with project team
• Participate in Requirements verification sessions with project team and end user
• Develop and execute Test Cases/Test scripts
• Report defects and bugs found through the development life cycle of software applications and participate in the defect management process
• Report issues and risks detected through the development life cycle of software applications
• Participate in meetings with project team and end user
• Report to Software Test Leader for the project
• Projects may involve waterfall, agile or iterative software development methodologies
• Project may involve Mainframe, Windows, UNIX or mobile platforms
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
• Proven experience participating in Software Testing Projects
• Experience designing and executing tests
• English level: Good, Very Good or Fluent
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to work under pressure
• Willing to build a successful career in the QA and testing field.
• Process oriented mindset
DESIRED COMPETENCIES:
• CSTE or ISTQB Certified
• Experience utilizing HP Quality Center, HP QTP, HP Loadrunner or HP Performance Center
• Experience in Mainframe, Windows, Mobile or Unix Technologies
• Portuguese proficiency is a plus and may be exchanged instead of English proficiency
